2026 National Print Awards

Lane Communications is proud to celebrate a remarkable achievement, as our Marketing and Creative Projects lead, Katherine Puttock, was named Industry Woman of the Year at the prestigious National Print Awards, presented by the Visual Media Association (VMA).

The award recognises outstanding leadership, industry contribution and commitment to developing people and capability across Australia's print and visual communications sector.

The recognition follows Katherine being shortlisted as one of five finalists from across the country, joining an exceptional group of women who continue to shape the future of the industry. Being named a finalist was already a significant honour, but taking home the national award reflects Katherine's dedication not only to Lane Communications, but to the broader print community.

For Katherine, the award is as much about the people around her as it is about personal achievement.

"I’m truly honoured to receive this recognition and incredibly grateful to work in an industry I love every day," Katherine said.

"This award reflects the support of colleagues, mentors, our amazing team at Lane Communications, and the wider industry community that has encouraged and challenged me throughout my career."

The National Print Awards are regarded as one of the industry's highest honours, recognising excellence across commercial print, packaging, visual communications, leadership and innovation. The awards bring together businesses and professionals from across Australia to celebrate the achievements that continue to strengthen and evolve the industry.

Katherine's award acknowledges her ongoing leadership within Lane Communications, her commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for clients, and her passion for creating opportunities for others within the industry. Throughout her career, she has been a strong advocate for professional development, mentoring emerging talent and promoting print as a rewarding and dynamic career path.

The recognition is particularly meaningful for the Lane Communications team, who have witnessed first-hand the energy, dedication and vision Katherine brings to the business every day. Under their leadership team, Lane Communications has continued to evolve, investing in technology, people and capabilities while maintaining the personalised service and quality that clients have come to expect.

The award also highlights the growing contribution of women across the print and visual media sector. As part of her acceptance, Katherine reinforced the importance of encouraging more people, particularly women, to consider the opportunities available within the industry.

"Our industry offers tremendous opportunities for growth, leadership and innovation," Katherine said. "I'm passionate about helping more people discover just how rewarding a career in print and visual communications can be."

As part of her award, Katherine will join the VMA's international study tour, which includes attendance at the Power of Print Conference in London and visits to leading print, packaging, and manufacturing businesses across Europe. This is a well-deserved opportunity for someone who gives so much back to this industry.

Katherine's recognition on the national stage reflects not only her personal contribution, but also the values that continue to drive our business forward: collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement and a commitment to supporting both our clients and our industry.

Congratulations, Katherine, on this well-deserved award. All of us at Lane Communications are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone with you.
